How to use yoga props for relaxation

Yoga props can be used for daily relaxation purposes. Know your yoga props. :) 

Yoga Bolsters

  • Place the bolster directly under your knees and let the legs and feet move freely.
  • Relax all your muscles with every long and slow breaths.
  • Bring all you attention back to your body. Enjoy the flow of energy.
Eye pillows 
  • Lie on your back. Cover your eyes with eye pillow. This will block all the light and can let you focus more on your relaxation. Adding extra weight on eyes (hence why eye pillows are bit heavy) gives gentle pressure on the eyeballs. This soothes tired eyes especially from working all day in front of computer.

Blocks 
  • Can be used as a replacement for bolster (see above).
  • Place blocks beneath each knee and let the legs and feet relax freely. This releases the lower back entirely and allows for deeper relaxation, rest, and repair. Stay for 10-15 minutes.

Blankets
  • Cover yourself while lying down especially during colder season for extra warmth.
