Letting Go

Today is the first day of Spring! It’s time to do spring cleaning, it’s time to let go of everything that’s holding you back. Stress, worries, and anxiety are some of the emotions that are stopping you from being happy and living life to the fullest.  Let it go and live in the moment.

Deal with your  emotions. Do not let your emotions control you. First you have to accept whatever situation you are currently in. Denying will just make it worse. Immerse yourself. “This too shall pass”. And it is true, all the happiest and saddest moment in this world will all pass. So if you are currently experiencing pain, just remember it will all pass.

Find an outlet. Hit the gym, ride your bike, run, read that book you've been wanting to read a long time ago. When you have your emotions all bottled up inside you because you just cannot rush and push them all out, find something you can vent it out.

Replace those negative emotions . Think happy thoughts. J Counteract those negative emotions.

Forgive.

Stop regretting things you did or did not do in the past. This is what it should’ve been, this is what it’s supposed to be. Yesterday is a thing of the past, live your today.

Meditate. Focus on your breath. Be still. Allow 10 minutes a day to quiet your mind. Do this for a week, and you can feel the difference.  Imagine when you breathe out, you let go of  all the negative emotions and when you breathe in, you breathe new life.

Follow your passion.  “Follow wherever your heart leads you”. On order for you to let go of your negative emotions, it is very useful to follow what your heart is telling you. Do things you love. Anything that makes you happy ( of course, without harming someone else).  Keep your spirit alive. Swim. Dance. Sing. Travel.

Get Help. Getting help from someone is not a sign of weakness. When emotions become too much to handle, it may be time to ask someone to help. Let them know exactly how you feel.  Seek professional help if needed.

Hopefully this article may help someone out there experiencing  pain, feeling sad or just a bit low. And, if all else fails, eat chocolate.
